Located on St. Thomas' northeast shore at Coki Point, Coral World Marine Park & Observatory contains an underwater observatory tower, a tropical nature trail, a marine gardens aquarium, and an 80,000-gallon coral reef tank. Other exhibits include an open-air shark pool and a children's touch pool with starfish and sea turtles.
The air conditioned Undersea Observatory Tower stands 100 feet offshore. Its circular, glass-enclosed tank lets visitors glimpse the beauty of the Caribbean without getting wet as they gaze into the ocean from 15 feet under the sea. At mid-level, visit the Deep Reef Tank, or, from the top level enjoy spectacular views of the St. Thomas shoreline and neighboring islands. Perhaps you want to become one with the water, then take the plunge “moonwalking” through ocean gardens with Sea Trek.
The only one of its kind in the Caribbean, From the Undersea Observatory, the scene changes frequently because the marine life here is free to come and go at will. You never know what might swim by – today a barracuda, tomorrow a turtle. Watch large schools of horse-eye jacks suspended in the current. Sometimes the tower is surrounded by huge schools of silversides. During the twice daily feedings, watch hundreds of fish engulf our diver outside the observation windows.

Experience the thrill of exploring the ocean and all its wonders like a diver without the need for specialized training. Take a guided walk on the ocean floor with a maximum of ten in your group.
Sea Trek is the world's premier underwater helmet diving experience. Imagine walking in zero gravity while surrounded by incredible aquatic life - that's Sea Trek. Following an orientation, a guide will lead you along an underwater trail through the coral reef that surrounds Coral World’s Undersea Observatory.
The tour lasts for approximately half an hour. Fish and other sea creatures swim right up to your visor. Because the animals are not captive, you never know what may come your way.
The helmet provides the air, weight and stability to walk upright under the water. There’s even a hand rail for additional support. Gloves and booties provide extra comfort. Your head and hair stay completely dry and you breathe normally inside the helmet.
Friends and family who are not participants may watch you on your trek from the bottom level of the Undersea Observatory. In order to Sea Trek, you must weigh at least 80 pounds. You also must sign a health release form assuring good health. Bring or wear swim wear with a cover-up and towel.
